Default best image-hosting site

I've been using Photobucket, but I'm now wondering if there's a better site. When I chose it I simply opted for something free without checking out other possibilities. So now I'd like to know why you all use the sites you've chosen.

I, and most here, tend to be Flickr users. You can get a free account and try it and its only $25/yr for a pro account.

That's what I've noticed. I'm just wondering what the advantages are.
Thanks.

Is that for a MAC or PC? Where did you get it from and does it work without problems?

I have used DeviantArt for a while. I like it mainly because I have friends that post stuff there so I can keep up with their work and you can set it so the stuff can't be downloaded without setting it to private.

PC (not sure about mac) it works well yer but its donationware:

"This plugin is distributed as “donationware”. It is provide for free and is fully functional for the first six weeks, after which it becomes limited to processing at most 10 photos at a time until registered. Registration costs 1 cent; any additional donation you'd like to make in encouragement or thanks is up to you."

see http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/flickr for more information

the only thing i would suggest is letting flicker save your login detials so you dont ahve to keep signing in each time lol

Im actually not a big Flickr fan even though I do use it. I use deviantArt, Flickr, and Smugmug as well as have my own website. For community deviantArt is hands down the best. It takes forever to build up a solid backing on Flickr as the community tools are not as good and there are so many dang people there. Smugmug is great if you want to sell your prints and make a profit, even though you do have to pay for membership. So, in the end, if you feel you have the time, post your work to all of the ones you are interested in and experiment. One tip no matter which one you use, you have to get out and comment alot and share with other people if you do want to have people notice your work. The more you put into it the more you will get out of it.

I use Picasa Web Albums I have the 10GB upgrade for 20 dollars a year and the best part is when you upload the pictures, they sync so if you delete a photo on your comp. it updates the web album and deletes the pictures from your album online, and the program is not to shabby either.

I have been using Picassa web albums. I like it for it's ease of upload and I like the program too.
