Help for Photographing small children

I will be taking group photos of four-year olds this upcoming Tuesday. I was wondering if there were any tips or techniques that would be helpful in getting group shots to turn out good. They will be put on a video so they need not be perfect, but I want them to be as good as possible.

great tip for shutter priority in there.

the other important thing, i think, is to get down at the kids' level. sit down, lie down, roll around with them. nothing looks more happy snap than a shot taken from adult head height, looking down at angle towards the child. if you want to be above them, be right above, at an extreme angle.
