Please visit the album (link below image) and look at the last 10 or so images (the ones with captions) and critique as a set. I'd like critique on what I'm doing as a whole rather than just one image - composition and lighting tips, ideas, and critiques please.
As a side note I couldn't understand why the pentax was overpowering the vivitar so much until I got the flashes out the next day and noticed the vivitar was set to auto-thyristor-whatever mode and not manual *effffff*. I think I can kind of dig all the hard shadows though... These lessons learned the hard way will never be forgotten ![]()
Photo information Apr 4, 2009 Camera: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi ISO: 400 Exposure: 1/50 sec Aperture: 4.0 Focal Length: 50mm Flash Used: vivitar 2800 bounced off ceiling - camera back-right, pentax af160 on the band - above rear. EDIT: Taken in a bar almost exclusively with 50mm.

Moved... so have ye at it. What do you think of the composition and lighting? How have you approached shooting bands in similar situations (me? ... I'm normally playing the bass so don't have enough hands free to take pictures!).
