What do you think? Here's the set.

Not wanting to break any rules. Just wondering if anyone could look at these and give some advice as to how they may have came out better. I was at a complete loss when I went to this. I realized that no one was carrying about photography going on so I went nuts.

I had it on aperture priority because in my mind I wanted as much light in as I could get. So, I was at 1.8 the whole time.

Anyway, thanks in advance for looking at my photostream.

Jerry

Again, not sure if this is the right place to post, as there isn't any event photography section. SO, please move to appropriate area if need be.

What was your ISO set at? Set ISO to 800, f-stop to 1.8, this might also give you a higher shutter speed to stop of some of the motion blur. Otherwise, your exposures are pretty much right on the money.

This is similar to what I've experienced shooting live music lately. It's always so dark but that makes it a challenge. I like super a fast shutter speed if there's a lot of action going on otherwise you end up with blurry bits. I'll often fang my ISO right up to 3200, with f2.8 I can get 1/125 and higher shutter speeds. A bit of graininess is a small price to pay for a sharp image capturing all the cool lighting and atmosphere. As Jim says, try increasing your ISO, it certainly works for me.
