I not the best but I love the ones with the bride and the dad dancing with each other. The face shots of them looking in each others eyes tell alot. Hope this helps

Hi Catcher, there is one that I have seen which is a ring in the pages of the bible, and it creates a heart shaped shadow, looks really good. If you do a search in flickr for shadow ring you should see a few different ones. flickr is quite good for ideas. Give it a try, you never know. Good luck

I've never shot a wedding, but i've done many large projects. Don't be overwhelmed by shooting a wedding as a whole. Any time i have a large project, it is always easier to break it down into several smaller projects.

My best advice, is to break the wedding down into several small shoots and pick the highlights of each segment to shoot. It will be alot easier if you know what your going to shoot beforehand, then inbetween your staged shots, you can take some spontanious shots that catch your eye.

Good luck!

I've only done one wedding, so far. Here are a few of my faves...

wow, beautiful pics! thanks guys, girls, not sure if I want to get into weddings, I like to do candid shots, but do more portraits and it seems that my portraits aren't really portraits either but are candid! make sense? the idea about breaking down "sections"of the wedding is a great idea, I am scared to do the "once in a moment" shots, although I did shoot one wedding last week I still didn't get what I wanted to. I feel like my mind was a whirl. I guess its like anything else, its practice and trial and error but don't want to wreck someones wedding with me just "trying" to do my best, ya know?
