Default Canon Movie Feature...

I recorded a 50 second snippet using the Movie Function of my Canon t1i (model shouldn't matter - does it?) and the white balance is way off. As a matter of fact, if it was any more off, it'd be coming back around to be usable.

Anyway, my question is this - "Is this salvagable?" Is there software that I can use to doctor it up to get the white balance correct?

I'm not looking to invest too much time in editing the video because I can recreate it, as it was simple in nature and I have access to all parties.

I never thought I'd be using the video function of the camera to really read up or even use it before, so I apologize for the noob type questions.

Thanks in advance.

Gary

You should be able to "grade" video fairly easily with most video editing software.

Next time, make sure you set your WB properly before shooting. Doing video (on a T1i at least) is like shooting JPG: you have to get it right in-camera.

Thanks Adam.
I didn't realize the MISTAKE until I went to review it off camera. Total brain fart, because I take a white balance prior to shooting, especially when I'll be in a consistent type of lighting. Now, why I didn't do it with the video....beats the heck out of me.

I'm glad I'll be able to salvage it. Took 10 minutes to set up for a 50 second video (grand parents remote birthday wishes to my daughter).

Thanks once again,
Warmest regards,
Gary
