    Default Football photography- UK

    Hi all,

First post Hope it's ok posting this here. I was just wondering if sunday league football is a good place to start practicing sport photography? Can I just rock up and start clicking away, or would I need to get permission?

Any pointers would be great, I'm from the UK.

    Thanks in advance

Do you know any Sunday league footballers? It's probably easier to turn up to take pictures of a mate playing football than appearing completely out of the blue.

    Hi,

Same as yourself I have started to look into taking some pictures at a football match.

What I did was to contact one of the lower league teams close to where i live.

Although they have an official photographer for their first team matches they have invited me to take pictures for their reserve team games.

I have also contacted a few non league teams, and have offered to take some pictures for them free of charge for their programmmes and website.

One thing to be careful of if taking Sunday League pictures is the fact that they have many young players, usually with there parents in tow, and in this unfortunate world we live in, should there be a complaint it could put you off.

All the best and I hope you get in somewhere.

Meant to say by the way that the kit you have is spot on for this type of photography.
    Kit: Nikon D800, Nikon d3100, Nikon 18-55mm,Nikon 55-200mm, Sigma 150-500mm.
