I read the tutorial on astrophotography by jgomez.
I followed all the instructions on obtaining the images to the letter. I downloaded/intalled the software. I put five consecutive shots and selected them in the software. I used the default settings as reccomended. I then get an error message that only 1 of the 5 will be stacked and I need to change the "threshold" for the program to pick up the stars. When I select "threshold" it gives me a box to fill in a number. I have no clue. Any suggestions?

Ah nice. This is very interesting. I've long been trying to pull off a good galaxy shot and often end up with the blah picture you see at the start. It doesnt look like you could get the good shot without stacking, so i'll have to try and get some frames tonight, and try it out.
Sorry I wont be able to help you, but i'll give this a go tonight and see what happens

Just gotta play around with it I guess. I'll keep you all informed. I'll be editing any completed stack in LR also.
