Default Help?

The only thing i take pictures of, are cars.. and i'm kind of stuck,
can someone give me advice on how to shoot a moving car?
example, the car itself is sharp, but the background and wheels are blurry.
Btw, i shoot with a Nikon D3000.

You're looking for a technique called "panning". One place to start is here: Mastering Panning – Photographing Moving Subjects

perhaps using tripod for video shooting will help.. and using low shutter speed (less than 1/125s) perhaps 1/30s with active VR on??

If i am not mistaken, an expert (forgot his name) kneel down on his toe, having the aim at moving car, rotate the whole body using his toe.. then to minimize vertical movement, with fluent horizontal movement following the running car. The best shot is when the car is perpencular to your shooting direction. It could be hard.... perhaps you can request the driver to slow down. then Burst mode,, for 1-2 shots for your D3000. Hopefully you got one..
I think it is better to get a video tripod that can move smoothly horizontally without moving vertically, easier to panning.

hmm, slow autofocus may cause a problem..

May be again, use slow sync / rear sync with 200mm zoom..

i don't know, i am a noob.

@ ccting

From the OP.
"Btw, i shoot with a Nikon D3000."

From all reports the Nikon D3000 doesn't have a video mode.

Yes, D3000 odes not have a video mode, but you can use tripod that designed for video for panning effectively
