Default yellow lab

I would like to photogragh my yellow lab in front of my fire place. I don't want to use a flash or any other lighting. Can someone give me a start on where I should have my settings ( ap, iso, shut speed, etc).
Thanks

Hello,

There are too many variables to list them all without more information from you. How do you see the final product? Blurred background, all in focus, entire dog or just part of your subject. What kind of gear you have?

If you can give more specifics of what you want to accomplish, hopefully you will get more/better answers.

You have to tell people what kind of light there's in the room: is there a big window, or are you going to use the ceiling lights? Things like that, so that people get a better idea on what to tell you.
