So I recently started dipping my toes into RAW and playing around on GIMP and such. Before I was completely organized with my photos (a few major generalized folders with categories in them) however now it's a bit out of control. I'm using Canon's Zoombrowser to dl them and view them before editing. ZB is nice simply because of the fact that I can comare up to 4 at a time and choose w/e I like best. I'm using UFRAW to import them into GIMP. Once I'm done editing I save the edited copy (normally reformatting to jpeg) in those folders I used before along with a copy of the RAW which is also apparently filed in some twilightzone area of ZB. I'm wondering if I should be saving the RAW edits as well outside of ZB? I want to get Lightroom eventually just to stop all this nonsense, my ocd can't take it!
TLDR; how do you organize your photos, originals, edits, and reformats? Thanks all!
