Default Doubt about exposure compensation

Hello everybody, I have a doubt about how to use the exposure compensation. I'll try to explain

To make things simpler let's supposte that i'm shooting at f/10 and 1/100 shutter speed.

If I am on Aperture priority and i set exposure compensation on +2 the settings turn to f/10 and 1/50

If I am on Shutter priority and i set exposure compensation on +2 the settings turn to f/5 and 1/100

Until here all right, the camera tries to raise the "brightness" of the images keeping the setting i set (aperture or shutter speed) and adjusting the other as needed.
But...

If I am on Manual and i set exposure compensation on +2 the settings remain f/10 and 1/100 but the pic is brighter!

Now my question is: what happens when, in manual, you set the exp compensation? Why the photo is brighter even if the camera does not change settings of aperture and shutter speed?

Thanks

In manual mode there is no exposure compensation.
You decide the aperture, ISO and shutter speed.
However the metering indication, in the viewfinder etc, will reflect your settings in relation to the light levels the camera is metering.

I don't know much about others, but Nikon's EC does affect how the meter reads in manual. If you set it to the + side, the meter will read the scene as underexposed. You will have to adjust your SS, ISO, or aperture to bring the meter back to ---o---.
