Default How to move the focus point in manual focus mode

I have Nikon D80 and trying to work on manual focus. I am not able to change the manual focus point(area). I changed the focus mode from AF to MF on my lens. And then I pointed at the subject, from the viewfinder I see the focus point highlighted. The right most focus point is highlighted, how can I move to center or left? I tried arrow control but it doesn't change the focus points. Am I missing some other settings?

Also, I tried the AF and focused and then changed to MF. But still the same. What ever I change, I see the focus point on the right. Please help.

PS: I am doing this in Manual mode (not in aperture priority or shutter priority).

If the switch below the directional keys is in the lock position, slide it up. You should then be able to use the directional keys to move it around.

Luke, thanks much.. I never realized that I have a lock button. Also, can I select multiple points? Sometime AF do that..
