Hellow,
Do any of you think it's possible that photoshp & lightroom with latest raw plugin update doesn't wonna open .cr2 files made bij a canon eos 600D? I know the 6.3 update doesn't list it as supported but since the 550D is and a lot of other canon models shoot in .cr2 I find this odd. Any suggestions or maybe somebody can send me an .cr2 file made by other canon to see if at least the plugins are installed correctly? Cheers, Mich |

Actually, I wouldn't expect the 600D RAW files to work in ACR just yet. There's usually a delay from the release of a camera until Adobe updates ACR to include it on the list. Adobe tends to release updates every three months or so, and the last one was in late December. The list is hecka-accurate about which models it supports. All the camera manufacturers typically tweak the EXIF/meta information on their RAW formats for every single camera model, simply to support any new features that were added. So, each one has an individual RAW format.
Remember, RAW isn't a standard. It's not even an acronym. I'd say, use DPP (the Canon software) if you have to shoot RAW right now, convert to TIFF and edit the TIFFs. An ACR update will be along shortly.
