Default Psi

Hi, when you study a photo on any photoshop, you can enlarge or reduce when opened, is there a way or a software that can tell you the measurement in pixels or inches of the photo when zoomed because the increase in PSI will obviously start to make the photo blurred, and lose its acuity, and I wish to have the photo perfect before it arrives at that stage.
For example if I require a poster being 16in x 16in, I do not want to have the photo printed to that size and find out that the visual aspect is not adequate, as to purchase a poster size photo can become very expensive. Thank you for any help.

PSI = Pounds per Square Inch (a measure of pressure)
PPI = Pixels Per Inch (often confused with DPI, which is dots per inch).

PPI is easy: Number of pixels / number of inches.

So if you want quality at 16", then you'll want anywhere from 1600 (100PPI) to 4800 (300PPI) pixels. The more, the merrier.

Hi, sorry I do not know why I wrote PSI, I should know better, first time I have ever wrote that.
I was just wondering if there is a chart or a free software that I could glance at for the different dimensions involved with PPI or even inches?

Okay: pixels = 100xInches
better: pixels = 200xInches
Best: pixels = 300xInches.

It's not rocket science.
