Default Studio Flooring

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this thread, mods please move if needed and accept my apologies...

I'm creating a new studio and I need some flooring. It currently has ugly old timber made up of bits and pieces. It's a mezzanine level of a building, so I can't rip it up or anything like that!

I was looking at some plain white vinyl, but's kinda expensive here (australia)and really hard to get.

The walls are all white, so I don't really want to use a backdrop if I don't have to. I've not yet invested in seamless paper rolls as again, it's very expensive to get here and with white walls, I thought I might just be able to get white flooring!

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Nice post.Thanks. I'm converting a triple garage into a photography studio, so it has concrete floors, just wondering what would be the best flooring for a studio? Should i paint the concrete with a flat matte paint the same color as the walls (Black or White) or use some other flooring?

Do you want the floor to be reflective or not? If you need a bit more light bouncing around the room then probably a light color. If you want more control then black would be better. For many sessions I am going to bet you lay down flooring to fit your set (white seamless, reflective board, muslin cloth, maybe even a section of hardwood) and not the concrete...that is if the floor is even in the shot.
I think painting the concrete is a good idea just to keep the dust down and make it easy to keep the entire area clean. The epoxy based floor paints are probably the best for durability and wear.
