I think both pre and post works are important. In the similar enviroment of outside room as the samples,my pics below are absolutely ordinary, pale in color.I believe there's some ways to improve the color in both shooting and retouching. Can any buddy tell me the exact reason?Maybe it helps a lot if your samples can be posted here.
We've already said proper exposure and W/B... if you are looking for something else
the ONLY other thing that will affect colors/contrast if shooting RAW is the lens (also, different cameras will have different characteristics but....).
If shooting Jpeg there are usually several settings/adjustments in the camera menus.

You can always go to my Flickr account to see examples of the images I take. Most have very little processing done to them but there are several which have fairly heavy post work done.

yes,I come to see your Flickr.I see some pics you shot in China, hehe.Maybe you didn't make retouch to them,so they look like what I always shoot in ordinary color look. Some retouched production are amazing but not so natural as my samples.I think retouching is also critical to reach that effect.Do you have experience in that? Thanks a lot.

"Do you have experience in that?"

Yes, it usually only requires a levels adjustment and a touch of saturation. (there are tutorials on this site)

The pictures you keep referencing are not straight out of the camera unless they were shot in Jpeg and the adjustments were made in camera software.

Yes,I believe shooting and retouching share every 50% of the effect and I want to know both.

I took a while to your site, but find the one that is close to this effect.Maybe can you give me the link you mean? Many many thanks.

Maybe this one
_SGK1901
or this
_SK11429.jpg

Problem is I can't really know what you are looking for.
IMO, many of the images you are referencing are a bit underexposed or have too much contrast (darks too dark/ whites blown out)

Here's one "how to" to get you started..I suggest playing around with one of your images and trying a few things. Levels, contrast, saturation, until you get what you want.
