Default Southern Stars

G'day, Can anybody tell me a way to focus on the stars and have them come out like pinpricks, I shot this one on a tripod on a very windy night,

Focal Length 18.3 mm
ISO Speed 500
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash No Flash
Orientation Horizontal (normal)

At 30 seconds you are capturing some movement of the stars. The only way to get just points is by reducing the shutter speed. Increasing the ISO (more noise) or increasing the lens aperture are the only ways.
