Default Lesson Needed- Photograping Aircraft

Hi Guy's, I'm new to the forum
Just looking for a masterclass on Photographing Aircraft at ground level.
I'm currently using a 50D with an 28-135mm and a Canon 70-300mm Set up but i'm not really getting anywhere,

Don't know if it's a masterclass, but this might help

Flying Kiwi Airshow Photography Tips

The only tip I can give is shoot with both eyes open--that way you can spot and track 'em a bit faster in the sky. A telephoto tends to really narrow your field of view.

Your access to aircraft will be a factor. Are you able to get close access or will you be shooting from a distance? Could you post a previous attampt so we have something to see? It might help us to give some ideas if we can see an image and the settings you used.
