Default Man, I goofed. Can this be fixed?

Several photos from one of my latest sessions have a black stripe/shadow on it. I don't know if I forgot to change my shutter speed or what, but I am drawing a blank as to how to fix this. It's along the side and pretty thick. It isn't noticeable against my black background, but obvious on the green background. I am just beside myself as to how this happened as I normally check them out every few snaps. I can PM someone a sample if you think you might be up for helping me tackle this. It sort of looks like a shadow, but I know there wasn't anyone blocking the light. I would really love some help, and would surely appreciate anyone who offers.

Sounds like your shutter speed exceeded your maximum flash sync speed. Were you using flash? If this is the case your best bet is to crop the image to remove the black part.

+1. Most cameras have a maximum sync speed of 1/200 - 1/250.

Yes, I was in the studio with lights. I think you are right about the shutter speed, which was my first thought. Ugh. Some of them I can't crop, so I may just have to bite the bullet and offer a re-shoot. I just hate to disappoint my clients! UGH!
