Im doing an engagement partyshoot soon and need some advice.
Its going to be a dark room with a disco and I need to get some good shots. Any advice would be more than helpful. THANK YOU!

The best advice I can tell you is to go there with the same equipment you intend to shoot with for the event and test it prior to the event. Go at the same time of day if there are windows that will let light in. This will help you exploit the lighting to your advantage. Have a person go with you to act as your subject. If you are in a low light situation I would anticipate lots of fill flash, so you must be comfortable with it. This shoot will require a soft box and a smart strobe flash (the one that goes in your hotshoe).
Nothing is better than getting a feel for the lighting ahead of time. You might also ask if there is a way that you can improve the lighting. Look for ways you can dictate the lighting if possible.
