I was at a race event at the weekend trying to capture high speed cars and was torn with settings
set at Shutter Priority, at one point I was using 1/1000 which gave me between f8-11, with some lazy panning gave some background blur (to give the impression of speed) and some blur of the tyres however the wheel spokes were reletively stationary / defined then I took it down to 1/250 / 1/320 and with some faster panning got more background blur and noticed the wheel spokes less sharp / less defined. what experience have others had with this sort of thing |
