Hi guys,
i am trying to take some pictures of some books with ALOT of details... i am using Light Tent 50" and 2 SB-900 flashes and a light flash with a trigger.. the problem is eighther i am getting TOO much light... or the details doesn't show in their details... can someone share the setting like the shutter speed the f-stop and the setting of the flashes.. i am using all in Manual mode... please help this is urgent..

Is that the picture that you took? I was asking for a sample of the picture(s) that you took along with EXIF info so we can try to figure out what you did and what can be done to improve it.

So what don't you like about that picture?
The only thing that I can see that I don't like is the big white reflection on the cover but that's just personal taste. If you want to see more of the texture of the cover then you need the light to bounce across the cover and get rid of the whatever is reflecting white back on the the cover.

Your settings seem fine to me. I would just get rid of the white reflection on the book.

Possibly. I think a CP would cut some of the glare but if they have a big white thing above the book then it would still reflect as white. *shrug*
