Default Is it sharp??

IMG_8332

From the previous post, I've learned from you that I need a faster shutter speed to make the photo sharp. Now, what do you think of the sharpness for this one? This photo was taken at around 4pm in the outdoor with bright sun.

There is one thing I've noticed that I never touched is the Exposure Bias. Does this setting have anything to do with the sharpness?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. I did use tripod this time. Thank you all.

Exif data
Camera Canon EOS REBEL T1i
Exposure 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture f/9.0
Focal Length 60 mm
ISO Speed 100
Exposure Bias 0 EV

Yes, but your focus is off. THe focus is on the lower pollen pods, not on the actual flower. You need a deeper depth of field.

Exposure bias has NOTHING to do with sharpness: it affects how the camera meters.

"Sharpness" is such a complex and subjective term that it's kinda silly to attribute it to any number of things.

Thank you! So, deeper DOF means lower the F stop, right? Maybe lower it to about 5.6? But, if we have deeper DOF, it won't be able to grab other areas, isn't it? When lowering the F stop, do we have to adjust the shutter speed as well? Sorry, too many questions to ask.

Deeper DoF means a smaller opening, or a larger number. Your current aperture is f/9: you'd want a LARGER number

f/5.6 would be creating SHALLOWER DoF because it's a larger aperture. Try f/11 or f/16

When you adjust the aperture, you'll see the meter adjust as well. You will have to have a longer shutter speed, which is where a tripod comes in handy
