Today as I was trying the water drop technique, I noticed that there were two very small water marks (small circles) on my lens now. Im not too worried about them yet as I don't think they've affected the quality at all. But being so new to photography, I'm just curious, when do you get to the point when you need to clean your lens and what is the best way to do it? I always see other photographers from around the world who photograph in the snow, rain, sand, etc. and they say they don't use a filter or anything, so I'm just wandering how they keep their lens' so clean lol.
Edit: Wow blame it on the fact that its getting late here, lol, but I just noticed I posted this in the wrong place. I will repost in the General section, so mods please delete this. Thank you and sorry for the error.

A good lens cloth is a must. First i use a blow bulb to get rid of any dust, then i fog my lens with my breath and give it a gentle wipe to clean it. this will work most of the time.
Every so often i give a proper cleaning with lens cleaning solution. |

THe same kind of solution you'd use for eyeglasses, NOT Windex or the like. Spray onto the lens cloth, then clean the lens.
