OK people, we will be having an Eclipse of the Moon on the 20th of February.

oh wow, I saw this thread cuz Im an amature stargazer and had planed to catch this eclipse. was gonna tell ya what area I'm at but seems irrelivent now.....
will still be back with pictures thursday

taking photos of the eclipse seems to be fairly straightforward since the whole thing moves relatively slow. I have some examples in my photostream from the last eclipse too (though we will totally miss this one).

Very exciting. I have two camera bodies now so I can get both close ups and a timelapse type shot. Now to scout out some locations... Even more exciting is that I dont have to stay up till the crack of dawn this time
