Default 360 degree product photography

Hi Guys,

Anyone had a go at doing 360 degree product photos before?

If so, what gear do you use and what software do you use to show it?

Thanks
Scott.

I found some excellent software called ObjectVR that exports 3D product shots to QuicktimeVR and Flash.

The only thing I really need now is to find the hardware to go with the camera.

The panoguide forum might be able to help you.

panoguide: Search for "Object VR"

Object2VR is made by the same guys who do Pano2VR--that software is probably excellent.

As I understand it, you just need a tripod and a turntable to take a series of shots for object VRs, but I have no experience in that area.

Thanks! I've bought a license to the software and I've done a quick trial run. I works great.

Thumbs up DIY turntable for 360 product photography

Here's a quick DIY guide on building a simple inexpensive turntable for 360 product photography posted on our blog. It does help on certain projects very very well...

Do it Yourself Guide to Building a Turntable for 360 degree product photography

You may also consider automated computerized turntables from Ortery, they are not cheap but do save lots of time when dealing with many uniform objects.

Thanks for sharing that, I really appreciate it.

I had looked at Ortery products and was impressed, but the price tag kind of turned me off them.

Default 360 degree product photography

Hello guys,

I was about to use webrotate360 solution last month, but the result (360 animation of product) looks a bit amateur.
I would likee to ask you for some commercial solution, which you know it works and is cheap (or just not expensive).

I made my homework and find out company which is selling some 360 degree photography equipment to snap products from any nagle. Then some software combine them into 360 presentation video of theproduct - usually FSI.

I would like to take photos of my cars from showroom, such as in this video:
YouTube - Carousel 5000 - Construction - 100525

Could you please take my some advice to find good solution? cost/quality.

Thanks,
phoguru
