What on earth for? An ND filter won't do you any good. It'll actually be counter productive. Why would you think you needed an ND filter for a runway show?

+1, An ND is NOT a polarizer...I can see a potential use for a CPL, but not a ND...

Just curious, how will a CPL help on a runway shoot? Assuming it's an indoor runway.

Cutting back lights for reducing lens flare/ reflections etc....
But the "cost" in speed would probably minimize any potential usefulness.

a nd filter cuts down the light evenly......I imagine you might even have to use a flash unless you have a high end camera. Can't imagine you would ever use a nd indoors

If you're dealing with some very unique situations. I had to use a ND filter indoors at an art exhibit that was almost entirely mirrors and glass: the flash was multiplied by the installation. Even at f/11 I was overexposed.
