Default Lost Photos- SD Card Help

To make a long story short, I took some vacation pictures, uploaded them to my laptop and copied them also onto my external hard drive. I cleared my SD card (which I normally don't do) since I was taking a cruise vacation the very next day and wanted plenty of space to shoot on my card. Also, I deleted the pictures off my computer since I had already copied them to my external.

After editing some of my pictures in Elements 8, my external hard drive started having problems (which has NEVER happened) and when I went back to look at my vacation pictures the pictures are there, but corrupted. I had JPEG and RAW files both on my external and now neither one of them will open.

I've tried free Recovery programs like Recuva and found some of the pictures from earlier in the trip, but not the pictures I need.

Does anyone know any SD Recovery programs, free or otherwise? I'm willing to pay to get these pictures back.

I used Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery when my external hard drive crashed and was able to get all my files back. It's also able to recover deleted files if that sector of the disk has not been overwritten, so you might be able to use it to recover the files you deleted off the laptop. It's easy to download and install and it cost $79. Good luck.
