Default RAW issues

Hello Folks,

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but here goes.

I shoot in RAW and Jpeg and several raw files are showing what appears to be extraineous light. The jpegs are all fine.

Is this an SD card issue or the processor in the 450D?

Can anyone offer a clue to how to fix.

By the way, its only happening to about two files in every shoot of about 150 or so. Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

John W

Hmmm, interesting. We were just talking on another thread about how rare memory card problems are; most of us have shots thousands of images on one card and never had a problem, but this does appear to be a card problem. I like the idea of trying a different card, but you might also try gently cleaning the leads with pencil eraser. Leads on the card, not the camera...can't promise results but it's worth a try.

Hello Richard,

Thanks for your reply, yes I do have four 4gb SD cards. Two Verbatum Premium, one San Disk Ultra and a dodgy looking Kingston. Because rotate them so much and format them in the camera when I've downloaded, I'm not sure which is the culprit, perhaps the dodgy Kinston.

I'll try to make a note of whats what when I'm taking shots.

Cheers,

John W

Thanks Lee,

I'll try that too.
