Hello everybody,
I am having trouble with some of the new accessories I bought for my Nikon D60 and hope maybe someone could know what exactly is causing it. Before buying the Sigma 18-250mm lens for Nikon, I used the 18-55mm Nikkor and a polarizing filter to match it and a 55-200mm Nikkor with no filters. Now that I use the Sigma one a lot, especially out and about, at maximum zoom out and with two filters on it I get some sort of a vignette in my pictures. Is it the lens ? Is it the new filters? I'd very much appreciate if any one knew what's going on. Thank you ! |

It's normal. Two filters are so thick that when entirely zoomed out they are inside the field of view. When using the polarizer filter, first take off the other filter you're using.
You can also try an extra-thin polarizer filter, to see if that helps things. I have one for my 10-22mm and 17-55mm lenses, and it produces no vingetting on either of them. I do take off the "digital protection filter" though, so there's only one filter at a time on it.
