The widest of the widest is Sigma's 4.5mm fisheye lens. I'll be writing a review for the DPS blog on that lens soon. It has a 180 degree field of view, so you can be sure that any building you stand in front of will fit. However, if you don't want bulding buildings, you'll have to do some de-fishing to get a straight photo.

The other option is the Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM lens. It's a wonderful lens, with excellent sharpness and colour rendition. It's small and light, and I love it It's the widest rectilinear lens (which means that straight lines stay straight) that Canon makes, and very suitable for your camera.

So here you have two options - take your pick

It's the widest CANON makes, but not the widest available. Sigma's 8-16 is wider, though unproven yet. The 10-22 is a very good lens.
