Default My Problem help plz

guys i always face some of these problems without fail while shooting at night (Indoors)
1. Snaps are always with Orange/yellow tint, if i use flash then i lose depth of the portrait.
2. while taking snaps the camera auto focuses on some of the object other than the desired one either behind it or infront of it, resultantly the object desired to snapped is blur and other things are clear. please, dont tell me to keep the hairline cross on the object and press the button once the object is clear.
3. My camera is Nikon Coolpix L100
Would appreciate your help

The simplest answer is, get a better camera. P&S models aren't deal for low light indoor shooting.

1. Check your white balance setting.
2. Sorry, yes you need to let the most accurate focusing area of your camera focus on your subject and then press the button. This is just how it works. You may need to lock the focusing to one specific area of the frame, then focus and recompose before you release the shutter.

Sorry this isn't more helpful, but if you don't want to use the flash you're going to find that a camera that's not designed to be used in indoor low light situations is, no surprise, not good in indoor low light situations.

Put camera on tripod, A Mode,Night portrait setting, (This will give you depth, as ambient light is recorded before flash fires) auto white balance,Self timer 2 seconds.Try it!

By the way your P&S is quite adequate-If you send me an e-mail I will send you my "Mastering your P&S Digital camera". e-book (PDF if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader)
