Photo Journal

Hey! Does anyone use a photo journal? If so, what kinds of stuff do you write in it? Do you list places you want to go photograph? Do you sketch ideas? Curious about starting one but would love thoughts on if you find them useful...

I have a journal that I keep in my studio. It's sectioned off into different categories, such as group shots and things I'd like to try outside. Each section has pockets where I keep reference photos that I find in magazines and etc, and each of them is backed with paper where I can scribble down notes as to why I like the photo and how I can learn from it for future projects. I then have a ton of note paper in the different sections with doodles of photo shoot setups and lighting diagrams that I think up throughout the day. I also put in there results of previous shoots and what I liked/disliked and how I feel I can improve.
I also keep a list of places around me that I want to visit and take some shots.

It's been a great help when I can't think of an idea off the top of my head.
