Hi there. My name is Koos. I am pretty new at photography but have great fun with my camara (Canon-PowerShot IS5S) It takes great shots, at least to me they are better then what I ever produced, so I am quite content. This is however only with automatic settings. I am greatly puzzled by the Manuel sttings, Aperture, Shutter speed etc. I really don't know much about it and when I experiment with it, the results is more then awful. For me it seems much better to use the automatic settings, but obviously, I am going about it the wrong way. Where can I find some good info on manual settings and how to propertly use it?
Thank you so much |

Hi Koos, welcome to DPS!
When first starting out shooting in manual, an understanding of the Exposure Triangle is a must. Take a look at this info here, for starters. Hope this helps. ![]() Learning about Exposure – The Exposure Triangle |
