You can also try using a smaller aperture to get more DoF so the focusing isn't as critical.
Or, you could blow some money on a cable release or remote, and use the half-press capability to set the focus before taking the shot.

Ok that scared the heck out of me! Haha.
The thing is that I have tried something like that. I set my camera on my bed and (im not kidding) I stick my leg out and focus on my foot. I probably look like a weirdo to anyone who might walk into my room at that minute but I don't know what else to do! And the pictures still turn out like this: ![]() That one is better then this one: ![]() but it still has an "unfocused" look to it... It upsets me. ![]() And I was considering buying a remote... I just don't know which one to get because I don't want to spend 20+bucks on the remote PLUS shipping because its always cheaper online. *Sigh* Thanks, Lindsie

It doesn't look like a flash is going off in these...that could be part of your problem.....You might not be still enough for the camera to freeze you.....inside with no flash will guarantee a slow shutter speed, hence the blur from unintended movement
