Default HDR Panorama - How To?

There is a place that I want to get a good panorama of and was thinking it would be a good shot to do in HDR as well. Has anyone attempted to do this and if so how?
I have some ideas, but wanted to see if anyone had a different approach then what I was thinking of.
Thanks!

there are two ways of doing it.
1: make an HDR of each individual image in the pano, then stitch.
2: Make a pano for each exposure level needed, then HDR the panorama.
