Default From Camera to PC on location

I'm interested in being able to get my pictures from my camera to my PC during the shoot so I can get a better look at the image.

I have a Canon 40D and a laptop running Win7.

Any suggestions? I'm certain it can be done, just don't know the technique or parts needed.

The Canon EOS Utility program on the CD that came with your 40D will let you shoot tethered using your USB cable.

If you're looking for a little more freedom, Canon make wireless transmitters that fit to your body like a battery grip and use wi-fi to transmit your images to your PC up to around 100m. They will also FTP your images directly into your website. I'm told that the wireless grips give your camera a unique IP address so you can control and access the images on your CF card via the internet!

You might also look at pulling together a power pack using a 12V battery and a pure-sine-wave inverter to power your computer, which has the added advantage of being able to power your strobes outdoors!

Thanks! I figured there was a simple way, I just didn't know what it was.
