I joined my firm's softball team, not only as a player, but also as the official photographer. I'll be right there, close to the action, on the field - well off to the side - when I'm not in the game.
My main concern is dust, sand and anything else that might get into my camera. I plan to keep my UV filter on, use a lens hood and if I must change a lens, I'll do it in a pillowcase while trapped in a well, not out in the open. I have a telephoto lens, but I'm free to walk around the field so I can get closer if I need to. Anything else I should or could do or be careful of to keep my gear safe? Thanks in advance.
