Default Shooting mode for weddings?

My nephew has recently ask me to take his wedding pictures,I told him he should get a professional , he still wanted me to take them.As he has seen pictures I took at another wedding although I was not the photographer I did take approx. 400 pictures and he liked them .I'm so nervous now that I'm doubting myself. Can someone tell me should I stick with shooting AP or ? Any input will help.Thanks.

Buy a good book about wedding photography, it really helps.
If you can't shoot manual, AP is probably the best next thing for most circumstances. You will need an f 2.0 or faster lens and a flash. Make sure bride and groom are both happy to have you photograph the wedding and better have a contract that spells out that you do it as a favor and don't promise professional quality.
Hope this helps!

There is a great big difference between being the lead photographer and/or the only official photographer from that of just being a guest who takes 400-500 snap shots of the ceremony. Can you handle the weight of responsibility? All the guests will look to you, as to what to do, in terms of posing and formal photo arrangements, etc...
Weddings costs thousands of dollars, and to scrimp and save on the photographer is a bit foolish on the newlyweds part...
It's just like a million dollar jewel property for sale on the real estate market and using a P&S for the photoshoot advertising taken by the front desk secretary...
Convince your relative to invest on a pro, and perhaps you may want to volunteer as a no cost back up pro bono.
All the best!

Then go for it full on with guns blazing! Your nerves will melt away after the first few shutter clicks. Wishing you all the best!
