Default Looking for a lens just a little bit bigger?

Found this on Ebay. 5200mm F-14. The description is worth the time it takes to look at this thing.

Canon 5200mm F14 SLR DSLR Lens - eBay (item 180443472483 end time Dec-14-09 18:34:36 PST)

BTW, I have no affiliation with the seller. I just found this while surfing around and thought it amusing.

That thing's been relisted a half a dozen times in the past year or so. It was originally $29k.

Moved to digital gear. Interesting. I thought because of the amusement factor of this, and that no one would ever entertain actually buying something like this, that General Chit Chat would be cool. My bad.

Great for pictures AT the game when you can not actually be AT the game!

A quick Google search indicates that it's a mirror lens. If so, it's not quite so impressive - 15 inch mirrors are not terribly uncommon for amateur telescopes, although I suspect the optical design of this is quite sophisticated.
