I just got an OM to EOS lens adapter / lens mount to use a very nice Olympus Zuiko OM 50mm f/1.8 (
) and I was very excited. The disappointing part was that the lens adapter seemed a little loose, which would have been fine if it weren't for the fact that the loose lens adapter was messing with my focusing. So I did a little research to see what I could do to remedy the problem. I read inkista's post about her happypageHK adapters fitting better than her big_is adapters, but nothing about getting loose lens adapters to fit.As it turns out, if the lens wobbles a little bit in the adapter, there are grooves built in (at least for the AF confirm adapters I got off of eBay) that allow you to fine-tune to achieve solidity: - Olympus OM Lenses for Canon EOS - Hans Doddema » Blog Archive » Loose Lens with Olympus OM to Canon EF Adapter? Basically you put a small screwdriver in the groove and twist ever-so-slightly to widen them, which squeezes the Zuiko OM into the adapter, giving a better fit. The warning is not to get zealous with the widening because then dismounting the lens becomes difficult. Hoping this helps somebody! ADDENDUM: If you accidentally or over zealously widen the grooves too much, have no fear. Simply take a pair of pliers and gently squeeze the tabs with the grooves shut just a touch. Then repeat the widening process. (... this comes from experience—I widened just enough that the lens was a tad too difficult in removing from the adapter, so I shut them ever so slightly and tried again. Needless to say, I'm quite happy now. )
