I recently decided to start buying older SLR lenses and using adapters to mount them to my E-410. I went on KEH planning to buy some Olympus OM lenses, but I ended up buying 6 manual focus Minolta lenses. I got a 50mm f1.7 Rokkor, a 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 Vivitar Macro, a 70-210mm Vivitar Macro, a 100-300mm Vivitar f5.6-6.7 Macro, a 90-210mm f4 zoom, a 80-200mm f4 Tokina RMC zoom, and a polarizer filter for $40. With shipping it was $51, and the adapter was $16. The last two lenses are "Ugly" quality but they were each under a dollar, so I don't care. Can't wait to get them so I can put some pictures up.

One word of caution, when KEH rates something as "UG", there is a possibility that the lens has fungus. From their website:

The Rokkors sound cool.

Have fun with it... I have some k-mount lenses and will be getting an adapter for my Rebel, it's hard to beat the return for cost as you say.
The last two lenses, even at under a dollar each, both seem to be pretty well covered by the 70-210mm macro. Probably unecessary. I can see why you'd want to grab them for so cheap, there's a point where you don't want extra stuff lying around, and those are probably going to be fairly bulky. Enjoy! |
