Default I bought this!!

After careful consideration and reading many reviews and opinions, I bought a Canon 50mm f1.4 lens for my Canon xsi. If you have or have ever owned this lens, I would like your honest opinion of it. I ordered it from Amazon, so I should be getting it next week. Thanks, Kim

I have this lens and I love it. It is one of my most used lenses. I bought mine after my 50mm 1.8 broke and have never been sorry. It is sharp, wonderful in low light and great for portraits. Here are some of the good, bad and ugly shots I've taken with this.

I think you made a good buy!

Thanks for your reply! You have some nice pics and I was glad to see some of them were taken outside. I wasn't sure how this lens would do out in the bright light.

These are awesome! The little boy is adoreable! How did you get your watermark on those? I'm trying to learn how to do that and I haven't quite figured it out.

I have Photoshop Elements 7, but I haven't done much with it yet. I just got the lens today!

Thanks! Any tips for using the new lens? Thank you for the links, I'll be sure to check them out! I'm in the process of downloading picasa. Someone said there is a simple way to put a watermark on there.

Don't drop it.

But seriously, just put it on your camera and play around with it. Get used to moving back and forth to frame your shots since it's not a zoom lens.
