What do you mean by interior photo shoot? Shooting architecture / houses inside? Shooting people inside? It will help to know those things.

I can say that I like the Sigma 10-20mm because of the price, but I'm not a Canon user so I can't speak from personal experience on Canon lenses.

On a crop body then look at a 10-22 canon or 10-20 sigma

Also look at a 15mm fisheye, although not ideal for interiors

I am also looking at a super wide angle lens. After a bit of research, there are three options that look good:

Sigma 10-20mm f3.5
Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6
Canon 10-22mm

Talking to some pros and looking at online reviews, I am going for the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6. The Sigma is neck in neck with the Canon although half the price. The new f3.5 Sigma shows some poor signs of quality.

See the following comprehensive reviews:

Sigma f4-5.6
Sigma Lens: Zooms - Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM (Tested) - SLRgear.com!

Sigma f3.5
Sigma Lens: Zooms - Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM (Tested) - SLRgear.com!

Canon
Canon Lens: Zooms - Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM (Tested) - SLRgear.com!

Given the quality and value for money, Im going to go with the Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6.

Hope this helps.

A fisheye is a wide-angle lens. There is a difference between fisheye lenses and rectilinear lenses. The latter keep straight lines straight, the former does not. You want a rectilinear lens. You can safely assume that a lens that hasn't been marked as "fisheye" is a rectilinear lens.
