Default What Next?

New to photography and just got some money for christmas and was wondering what I should get next. Already have canon XSI with Kit lense 18-55mm, 540EX Speedlite, and cheap tripod but dont know what to get next. Have $250 max to spend but would like to spend little less. Here is the list of the few things i narrowed it down to please feel free to give any imput on the items or to tell me something else i should get instead. Thanks!

Sigma 70-300mm(Lost few good shots because couldnt reach)

Canon 50mm (Been taking alot of photos in low light lately)

Lensbaby Muse(Seems like alot of fun)

Slik 700DX Tripod(One I have gets the jump down but won't last too long)

Planning on getting them all eventually but realy just a question of what to get first.

Get the 50mm, the step from a kit lens to quality prime is the single biggest metamorphosis you will go through as a photographer. You will not look at your camera the same way ever again. I bought the Sigma 50mm f1.4 soon after I got my 50D, I've been in love ever since.

Panasonic Lumix TZ-3 Yeah, I have optical image stabilization and a 10X lens, it also fits in my pocket.

I agree about the 50mm. I borrowed one a couple of weeks ago and now I MUST have one, and am going to buy it next week.

If you absolutely MUST get something, get the 50mm. I'd suggest just sitting on the money for a bit and saving up.

Took your advice and just placed my order on B&H for the 50mm. Found myself doing more and more landscape and night time photos and could tell there was something missing hope this is it. Thanks to all you for your advice.
