Default Flash for Nikon D60

Can someone recommend a budget Flash light for my Nikon D60? I am not looking for a expensive one, but a budget/decent one. Thanks.

The cheapest "good" Nikon flash is the SB600. They make an SB400 but it really does not do a lot more than the pop-up flash that is on the camera.

+1. No need to get an SB-800 or SB-900 for their commander mode, since you wouldn't have another flash to command yet. If you do decide to get into multi/remote flash, you could just buy one of them, and the SB-600 works as a slave flash.

The SB-400 does have its advantages- it's tiny, it's cheap, it has better coverage than the built-in flash for larger or wider-angle lenses, and can at least be bounced in landscape. Handy to have one, but an SB-600 is a far better choice for a first flash.
