I am interested in a portable, battery operated, card reader. I have asked for a little feedback on this before, but only got one response. In trying to do as much research as possible before purchase, I thought I'd try again.
I'll be travelling Asia for five months, and don't want to depend solely on internet cafes. I ahve read the reviews of the digital focci card reader, and it seems like it may work well. I am a little worried about a review that on Amazon that said there was no positive confirmation that the download had finished. Can anyone else confirm or deny this? Also, is anyone familiar with the Wolverine Picpac? I can't find any reviews on it. Thanks in advance for any help given. |

I heard good thing about Hyperdrives
Hypershop.com/Hyperdrive There is a guy at work who as the old version with a tiny monochrome LCD. I'm not a big fan of the new Color LCD since my D90 screen is almost the same size and the resolution is better. But the monochrome are tough to find (yet there is still couples new around). Cheers

I have two of these devices, but to be honest, memory cards are so cheap nowadays, it might be better just to buy a bunch of memory cards than to buy one of these hard drive devices. Mine gets ZERO use now that I've accumulated a bunch of memory cards.

Do those hyperdrives do anything else other than photos, like movies or mp3? Cause my two drives will play movies as well and they get used as media players now as opposed to back up devices. It's nice to be able to give the kid one of them to watch a movie or two.
