Default Questions about the Canon BG-E3

I use a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, of which I'm very fond. I'm considering adding a BG-E3 to it, but I'm having some difficulty in trying to answer a very simple question...

How do you put the batteries in it? (please note that I've yet to hold a BG-E3 in my hand, otherwise I'm pretty sure I'd know how.)

From what I can tell, there is a magazine that slides out of the grip that you can use to hold 6 AA size batteries. So what do you do if you want to use two Canon NB-2LH batteries?

Is there a separate magazine that you would slide in that holds those? Do you use the same magazine that holds the AA batteries? Do you need a magazine at all or do the NB-2LH batteries fit in the part of the BG-E3 that fits into the camera's battery compartment?

The grips I've found on eBay sometimes state that they only come with the magazine to hold the AA batteries and some auctions say the grips comes with one magazine to hold 6 AA batteries and one magazine to hold 2 NB-2LH. Canon's website only sells a replacement magazine to hold 6 AA batteries (the BGM-E3) and not a replacement magazine to hold the 2 NB-2LH, so that adds a bit to my confusion.

I tried calling Canon tech support and I'll be honest, I'm glad I bought and loved Canon before I ever called customer service... it was horrible and unhelpful. I swear that both people I talked to had never held a camera before, but now I'm just ranting...

Any help is greatly appreciated. I want to get one of the grips soon and I need to know what is or isn't supposed to be what comes in the box.

Thanks again!

p.s. if you have a BG-E3 you are looking to get rid of let me know!

I have a generic grip for my 30D, and the batteries go where the magazine that holds the 6AA batteries fits. You can put either one or two batteries in, and it doesn't matter which slot you put them in.
