Default A nice compliment to...

I am going to buy the Tokina 12-24mm soon, and I'm looking for a compliment to it.

I would like a decent midrange zoon for less than $600.

F/2.8 isn't the most important things to me, but I do prefer it.

I am aware of the Nikon 70-300, but the Aperture is just too high and I am wary of it's durability.

I am looking at the Tokina 50-135.

I also looked at the Sigma 70-200mm, but have fears of claims that it front focuses. It is also a bit out of my price range, but not too much.

Is there and alternative out there I should look at?

I currently carry a Nikon 18-55mm(Replacing 12-24mm)
A Nikon 35mm
A Nikon 50mm
and a Nikon 55-200mm

Okay, well, neither the 70-300 nor the 70-200 are MIDRANGE. What youre looking for is something in the 24-70 range.

There are several options available to you. Just look up that range in your mount on B&H and take your pick.

What has made you wary of the durability of the Nikon 70-300?
